Slingers #7

The Good: Well, the Griz wasn't as lame as I expected. His visual was well designed, as were the rats. And the meeting between Eddie and Susan was also interesting...romance in the works? Luzniak's art is also very well suited to the book, and his Dusk is awesome!
The Bad:Unfortunatly, a pretty stupid plot. The Griz's powers-- let's see...he controls RATS?!?! Can you people say "lame?" br> Plot Grade:B
Character Grade:C+
Art Grade:A
Final Analysis:B

Slingers #6

The Good:ChrisCross' art, the only detraction in the book, has improved immensely. KEEP IT UP, MAN!
The Bad:Hmmm...I can't think of any!
Plot Grade:A+
Character Grade:A++
Art Grade:A+
Final Analysis:A+

Slingers #5

The Good:Wow! THE best ish yet! Lotsa explosions, Dusk with a big part, Black "Psychotic" Marvel? Ahhh, just go buy this one!
The Bad:Prodigy dies as he becomes not so dispicable!! And I need to take him from the banner!! Jeez...
Plot Grade:A+
Character Grade:A
Art Grade:A+
Final Analysis:A+

Slingers #4

The Good:Oscar Jiminez's art completely fixed the real problem I have with the series- ChrisCross. Maybe they'll be smart and make him the regular penciller. The story was interesting, but...
The Bad:A bit confusing!! What were the Maggia guys doing at the Hotel? How did Hornet and Rico know were Prodigy was? Who invited Black Marvel to such an event? I doubt the geriatric guy snuck in.
Plot Grade:A-
Character Grade:B-
Art Grade:A+
Final Analysis:A-

Slingers #3

The Good:The Spider-man guest-shot was good, and not another unnecessary-let's-boost-our-sales-with-a-famous-character-stupid-guest shot appearance. More of Black Marvel's arrogant manipulations come up, and Prodigy's the same ol' jerk. ChrisCross' art is SLOWLY getting better.
The Bad: Only a COMPLETE lack of character development hurts this one. The same ideas are merely repeated, and, other than Kathy finding Johnny's video, there is NOTHING about their "real" lives.
Plot Grade:A
Character Grade:C-
Art Grade:A-
Final Analysis:B

Slingers #2

The Good: Whoa! Mutant rats!!! Never has such a corny idea seemed so...lethal! The Maggia? Haven't seen them in a while! The weeping Johnny in the closing scenes was powerful, and one could really have thought Eddie died!
The Bad:Prodigy's jerk-ness is too much for a hero figure. He leaves them to die? This is one MAJOR plot hole that he's not a villian!!
Plot Grade:A-
Character Grade:B
Art Grade:B+
Final Analysis:B+

Slingers #1

The Good:The story is well written, with all editions covnverging on one incident. The Hornet's interaction with a jerk, Johnny's father and girl troubles, and Dusk's awakening are all very unique subplots.
The Bad:I'm sorry, but ChrisCross' art just doesn't cut it!! It's got potential, but he needs to develop more textures and work on facial expressions.
Plot Grade:A
Character Grade:A-
Art Grade:B
Final Analysis:A-

Slingers #0

The Good: The characters are VERY well developed for a short story, and Adam Pollina's art captures the feeling that I've expected of the series. The scenes involving Casse and Eddie are superbly scripted, and the sketchbook section in the back of the book is wonderful.
The Bad: The only real complaint I have is that this was a one-shot time for Pollina's art!
